On December 17th-18th, 2018, the Africa-Europe Forum „Taking Cooperation to the Digital Age“ took place in Vienna, Austria. In addition to the gathering of 28 EU heads of state and government as well as representatives from the EU Parliament and the EU Commission, the event was also a B2B (business to business) event at which entrepreneurs and innovators from both continents had the opportunity to network and exchange their concepts and solutions for the digital age. Hosts of the High-Level Forum: Austria and Rwanda

The High-Level Forum was hosted by the Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz as part of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, as well as the Chairman of the African Union (AU) and President of Rwanda, H.E. Paul Kagame.

Make-IT at B2B Conference

Make-IT supported the participation of 3 selected tech start-ups at the conference. International visibility of innovative digital solutions from Africa is an important success factor in order to grow and find contact to new business and financing partners. The tech start-ups were identified in cooperation with the trend scouts of World Summit Awards and represent in a special way Africa’s innovative power for sustainable and inclusive development.
