About #Africa4Future

#Africa4Future is a joint accelerator programme by Airbus BizLab and Make-IT in Africa that is designed to support upcoming tech entrepreneurs in the fields of unmanned logistics and remote sensing.

Ten teams from Kenya, Malawi, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Mali and South Africa were selected from more than 300 applicants from all over the continent to participate in the #Africa4Future accelerator.

Throughout the six-month programme, the start-ups are supported with technical and business training to tackle challenges in the sectors of health, infrastructure, logistics, agriculture, water, and waste management.

The programme is implemented by MEST, a non-profit Pan-African organisation supporting the African start-up ecosystem, and Innocircle, a South Africa-based innovation consultancy.

The #Africa4Future programme runs from January until June 2019. The start-ups will attend the following events:

About Airbus BizLab

Established in 2015, Airbus BizLab is a global aerospace accelerator, where start-ups and Airbus intrapreneurs speed up the transformation of innovative ideas into valuable businesses. Airbus BizLab closely collaborates with start-ups to allow smaller organisations to better understand needs and ways of working of large groups.

Over the past three years, Airbus BizLab hosted 50 start-ups and 40 Airbus internal projects at three locations - Toulouse (France), Hamburg (Germany) and Bangalore (India); recently the new campus in Spain (Madrid) was opened.
