Startup Fair at the 6th EU-Africa Business Forum - Abidjan
To harness and support the digital revolution for sustainable development, ‘Make-IT in Africa’ supports the participation of 15 African start-ups at the Startup Fair, on 27th November 2017 in Abidjan. Cote d’Ivoire is the host country of the 5th African Union-European Union Summit of Heads of State and Government.
The Startup Fair is a side-event of the 6th EU-Africa Business Forum, aimed at raising the profile of digital solutions for Africa’s economy and EU-African cooperation. In total 150 start-ups from Europe and Africa will participate at the Startup Fair, out of which 15 have been supported by Make-IT in Africa.
Investing in job creation for Youth
The overarching aim of the 6th EU‐Africa Business Forum (EABF) is to increase investments with development impact in Africa. In line with its main theme “investing in job creation for youth”, the EABF will discuss investment opportunities - and challenges - in Africa along the EU-African cooperation’s four strategic priorities agribusiness, infrastrucutre, renewable energy, and the digital economy. A topic that will be central to all discussions will be female and youth entrepreneurship.
