About #Africa4Future

#Africa4Future is a joint accelerator programme by Airbus BizLab and Make-IT in Africa that is designed to support upcoming tech entrepreneurs in the fields of unmanned logistics, agriculture and remote sensing.

Ten Pan-African start-ups are selected to participate in the #Africa4Future accelerator over a period of six month. Throughout the programme, the start-ups are supported with technical and business training to tackle challenges in the sectors of health, infrastructure, logistics, agriculture, water, and waste management.

Overall the joint program aims at contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goal #2: Zero Hunger, #9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and #11: Sustainable cities & communities.

For the #Africa4Future joint accelerator ten teams from Kenya, Malawi, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Mali and South Africa were selected from more than 300 applicants from all over the continent. As part of a six-month exposure and mentoring program, the start-ups are supported to tackle challenges in the sectors of health, infrastructure, logistics, agriculture, water and waste management. The program attempts to link African entrepreneurs with different experts, partners and potential clients and to create a platform for direct knowledge exchange and cooperation.
