Visuals for Gender is working to improve the situation in Ghana by delivering gender-specific advanced-level training for company executives and in particular for safety officers. It cooperates with media organisations and political decision-makers and produces visualisations of all kinds for use in education and lobbying. The aim of the visualisations is to communicate core gender-relevant challenges and to empower women. To enhance cooperation, Visuals for Gender is an open data platform, which means everyone is invited to get involved.
While gender-specific violence, stigmatisation and discriminatory attitudes are omnipresent in Ghana, knowledge of gender-relevant topics remains limited. Visuals for Gender is an initiative that visualises dynamic and static data in order to make gender-specific issues a more prominent feature in the political agenda and civil society action.
