Shuttlers’ subscription-based shuttle service gives Lagos commuters access to a fleet of air-conditioned, WiFi-equipped buses and minivans that are driven by trained drivers and shared by 10–29 commuters.  Given that commuters in Lagos spend up to four hours in their car every day, the service is very popular. Shuttlers is particularly attractive to women: It is considered to be much safer than ride-hailing services thanks to driver-vetting procedures. Passengers book their ride on Shuttlers’ website and mobile app, pay for their seat on the desired route and can follow the location of the buses until they arrive.
