Airbus BizLab & Make-IT in Africa Joint Accelerator Programme 2020


About #Africa4Future 2020

#Africa4Future is a joint accelerator programme by Airbus BizLab and Make-IT in Africa that is designed to support upcoming tech entrepreneurs in the fields of agriculture and remote sensing. Ten Pan-African start-ups will be selected to participate in the 3-month programme.

The #Africa4Future accelerator is open to African start-ups, service providers, software companies that are actively working on solutions in Agriculture and infrastructure that are related to remote-sensing technology. This includes automation, blockchain, artificial intelligence, data analytics, material composites, manufacturing and more. Infrastructure refers to transportation/logistics mapping, water monitoring, waste management, real estate, urban development and other related areas.

Throughout the programme, the start-ups are supported through virtual coaching sessions, expert sessions with Airbus experts in Europe, connection to industry experts locally, access to Airbus technologies, 250,000 up42 credit, showcase events in Africa and Europe.

The programme is implemented by CcHub, a non-profit Pan-African innovation centre dedicated to accelerating the application of social capital and technology for economic prosperity, and endeva, a global network of experts in who aim to accelerate inclusive business innovations.

The #Africa4Future programme runs from March until July 2020. The start-ups will attend the following events:

  • May      Rocket Days Africa 
  • June     Rocket Days Europe
