The startup ecosystem in Kenya has scaled up largely overtime but there remain 2 challenges: Low startup investment and low discoverability and visibility of promising startups.

MLIKA is an effort to support the startup ecosystem in the country and gives a platform for budding entrepreneurs to grow by identifying, recognizing and celebrating their innovative solutions to the various innovation ecosystem stakeholders.

For start-ups, this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to engage directly with the various innovation ecosystem stakeholders and open doors to scale their solutions further and mitigate development challenges.

As a step, the organizers resolved to have a 2nd Stakeholder meeting with the ecosystem players of the Kenya Entrepreneurship Ecosystem. The meeting was held on Friday 21st February 2020 at Kenya School of Monetary Studies (KSMS).The meeting was aimed at identifying a mechanism of judging the nominated start-ups.

The outcome of the event was the nomination of the  jury panel for selecting the Top 100 start-ups in Kenya.
