27.02.2018 | Dortmund, Germany

Make-IT in Africa invited six start-ups from Kenya, Ghana and Sierra Leone to pitch at the 5th German-African Economic Forum NRW in Dortmund, Germany.

Between 26.02 and 02.03.2018, the six start-ups SnooCode, Gjenge Enterprises, Track Your Build, AgroCenta, Equatorial Energies and BRCK participated in a matchmaking trip to Germany, aimed at linking German industry to African innovation.

The featured start-ups work the fields of infrastructure, agro-tech, energy solutions and network-technologies. With their often surprising approaches, they encountered great interest from the professional audience. In order to highlight and discuss the opportunities of sustainable economic models in Subsahrahan Africa, the representatives explained their innovations both during a pitch at the center stage as well as informally during the day.

With their solutions, Gjenge Enterprises and AgroCenta managed to convince the majority of the audience.
